From April 21 to 23, with the support of Urological Surgery Society of Chinese Medical Association, Urological Surgery Society of Jiangxi Medical Association and Urological Surgeons Branch of Jiangxi Medical Association, "2023 Robot and Minimally Invasive Urology surgery Forum and the Sixth Academic Conference of Urology Surgery Branch of Jiangxi Integrative Medicine Society" hosted by the Department of Urology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University and the Urology Branch of Jiangxi Integrative Medicine Society was held in Nanchang. At the opening ceremony, Prof. Ting Sun, Chairman of the Urological Surgery Society of Jiangxi Province; Prof. Gongxian Wang , former chairman of the Urological Surgery Society of Jiangxi Province and deputy head of the Robotics Group of the Urological Surgery Society of Chinese Medical Association; Prof. Jian Huang , chairman of the Urological Surgery Society of Chinese Medical Association and Director of Urological Surgery of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University; Prof. Xu Zhang, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, chairperson-designate of Chinese Society of Urological Surgery and director of 301 Department of Urological Surgery, addressed the conference respectively. The leaders said that the emergence of domestic surgical robots has successfully broken the monopoly of imported robots. They hoped that by establishing more training centers and cultivating more excellent talents, the popularization of robotic surgical technology will be realized and the spring of domestic surgical robots will be ushered in.

Prof. Liang Cui said that in consideration of the factors such as neck and shoulder pain and injury caused by long-term head down and neck fixation during the operation of the surgeon console in the hidden box, KangDuo Robot designed the open surgeon console. It supports doctors to perform surgery in an ergonomic position, which can effectively avoid the above problems. At the same time, it can also avoid the stimulation and injury of the surgeon's eyes caused by the hidden box highlighting 3D, reduce the intraoperative eye fatigue, and protect the occupational health of doctors. At the same time, considering the cost of the equipment, the mirror arm -- the accompanying imaging system of patient surgery platform of KangDuo Robot is highly compatible. This system adopts modular matching image system, which can be matched with all brands of three-dimensional high-definition laparoscopic system and fluorescent endoscopic system. With the existing equipment, the hospital can reduce the cost of the use of equipment, improve the universality and utilization of the existing equipment.

The 71-year-old male patient was admitted to the hospital 1 month after being diagnosed with prostate cancer due to elevated PSA for 3 years. Preliminary diagnosis: very high risk localized prostate cancer (T2N0Mx); Left renal cyst; Hyperlipidemia; Postoperative left inguinal hernia. By the comprehensive opinion, medical team of Prof.Cheng Chen intended to implement the KangDuo Robot assisted radical resection of prostate cancer + pelvic lymph node dissection.
At the start of the surgery, the open surgeon console of KangDuo Robot provided a high-definition 3D view of the patient's pelvic anatomy, which was used to facilitate accurate navigation during the surgery, assisting Professor Chen Cheng to perform bilateral pelvic lymph node dissection, the precise separation of the bladder neck, vas ductus and seminal vesicle, and the removal of the prostate. In the stage of urethra and bladder neck anastomosis, flexible surgical instruments support multi-angle rotation operation in the narrow pelvic cavity, resulting in accurate suture effectively avoid injury to the ureteral opening and provide protection for the prognosis of patients.
