KangDuo Robot presented at the 2023 Annual Meeting of the American Urological Association (AUA)

The 2023 Annual Meeting of the American Urological Association (AUA) was held from April 28 to May 1 in Chicago, USA. As a global scale academic conference on urology, the organizers specially invited renowned scholars from all over the world to gather together to share the latest trends in the field of urology worldwide and explore the innovation and development of medical science and technology and new directions. Dr. Shengwei Xiong shared that from August 2020 to July 2022, the Department of Urology at Peking University First Hospital carried out a series of urological operations using KangDuo Robot. Among the 100 consecutive patients who underwent single center surgery, 28 cases underwent partial nephrectomy (PN), 36 cases underwent upper urinary reconstructive surgery (21 cases underwent pyeloplasty, 3 cases underwent ureteroplasty, 12 cases underwent ureteral bladder replantation), and 36 cases underwent radical prostatectomy (RP was performed in 20 cases through intraperitoneal approach, and RP was performed in 16 cases through extraperitoneal approach). The clinical results showed that all procedures were successfully completed without intermediate conversion to laparoscopic or open surgery, and no high-grade complications (Clavien-Dindo grade ≥III) occurred in all patients. The median heat ischemia time of PN was 17.3 min, and all patients had negative incisal margins. KangDuo Robot has been demonstrated to be feasible, safe, and effective in most urological procedures through single-center experience.

In addition, the results of the study were presented in the "Take Home Message" section of the AUA Annual General Meeting, indicating that the KangDuo Robot urological surgery results were widely recognized by the conference.
